Hello Everyone,

I have always been a 15" MacBook Pro user for 10+ years now, and I have always enjoyed the extra screen real estate that comes with the bigger screen / laptop. However, when my company offered me a 'free' upgrade to a 13" M1 MacBook Pro, I jumped on the deal, and upgraded a few weeks ago. I am really enjoying the portability, lighter weight of the machine, and power of the M1 chip, but I'm trying to make the most of the slightly less amount of screen real estate / resolution with the new laptop.

Question:
Those with a 13" MacBook Pro, are there any tips you share on how to best use the default resolution? I've been maximizing apps to full-screen and hiding the top menu bar and such (basic stuff), but really just wanted to get some feedback from others who may have went from a larger 15" laptop to the smaller 13" MacBook Pro laptop?

Any assistance / feedback / tips would be super appreciated. Thanks!

First thing I do is go to Settings --> Display --> Scaled --> More Space.

Safari = Full Screen, everything else I keep on the main screen unless I need more space like Parallels with W10, etc.

I have a personal M1 MBP 13'.
I have a work provided 2019 MBP 15'.

Yeah, the 15' MBP is very nice.

I hook both up to a 4k monitor so I rarely if ever use the internal screen.

I get used to using one or the other fairly quickly in laptop mode.
