MacBook Pro (13-inch, mid 2012) - Maximum Storage Upgrade?

I've seen people mentioning in other sources from 2015 and 2017 that 1 TB of SSD works fine. How about now for the MBP 13 inch mid-2012 model? Can a 4 TB SSD work?

Don’t know but i wouldn’t invest 3000$ in a 7 year old machine

You can run two SSD's if you can get an optibay. I've seen 2TB drives for $150 lightly used, but a 4TB SATA device will work
