Hey Guys,

My Late 2011 MacBook Pro 13" 2.8GHz i7 will not wake up from sleep on occasions. I've found it will only do it when its connected to the power supply and it been left a few hours.

I will get up in the morning and the fan will be going fast, the Sleep Indicator Light (SIL) is lit up solid not pulsing then i open the lid and nothing, black screen, keyboard don't light up. Only way to fix is to hold the power button down.

I have left it for hours not connected to power and it doesn't happen, it goes into safe sleep instead.

I've reset the SMC and has made no difference.

The only thing that has changed on the MacBook over the last week or so is it has gone from Lion to Mountain Lion via a Backup from my Mid-2012 MacBook Air (I cloned the Air and put it on the Pro)

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Matt

I would suggest a clean install of ML, if that doesnt fix the issue I would take it in to Apple.
