Hey guys. So i'm currently up north (away from any apple stores) for business and my macbook pro suddenly won't boot. Last time I was using today it worked fine and had no problems. I had closed the lid and left it (did not turn it off).
Couple hours later, I open the lid and try using it, to no avail. It was still on when I got back to it (checked using the capslock) but the screen was dark (except for the backlight). Called applecare and they gave me some things to try (below) but it didn't work, so I was wondering if anyone has some ideas.
Tried resetting the SMC, tried using command+R, command+R+P, booting in safe mode, command+V with the charger in or out, no boot up sound, not even the backlight keyboard lights up, only thing that lights up is the apple, (i know its on b/c the capslock key works) and when I power it up a very quiet "scrtt!" sound happens.
Really hope I can get some help. Also, quick question. Does anyone know if my computer does start working again if my files are going to be deleted? I had planned to backup my mac next week... Should've done it last week lol.
It's running on yosemite and bootcamping windows 7 if anyone wants to know (not low on storage either).
Cheers!
