hello everyone, I have a question about my MacBook Pro.

I got this MacBook from a previous owner who told me that the right speaker is not working, and during "amateur" replacement of it, the person kind of broke the flex cable of the keyboard beneath it. Until a few days ago, keyboard backlight was working fine, but then the laptop went to service just to get checked, and after this the backlight stopped working. I have already tried all the software solutions, but nothing happened. Is it possible that the keyboard flex cable is not attached properly so that is the reason the backlight is not working? Keyboard is fully functional except the light. I opened the laptop, it is visible there is some work that has been done, but I'm not sure what to do. If the flex cable is the problem, how can I change it myself? or is it better to pay somebody do it instead.
Thanks
