Hello, I am wondering if changing the display scaling on the MacBook Pro 13" M1 affects performance like it did in the past on older models. Thanks

It always will, you're running at a higher internal resolution.

If you're running into UI animations that dont lock to 60, then increasing the scaling will make it worse.

That said, my M1 13" Pro runs generally pretty smooth.
 
Thanks. I switched mine earlier today. Then I realized it didn’t give the: this may cause performance issues. I’m not sure that’s exactly what non M1 models stated but it was something similar.
