I have a new MacBook M2 13". I also bought a 27" HP monitor to use as an external display. I have been unable to get the monitor to work with the USB-C docking station that I have. My wife's MBP M1 works fine with the monitor. I called Apple Tech support and they were no help. They told me to buy a USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter, which they later said a USB-C adapter would not work with the M2. Everything that I find online does not say that it is compatible with MBP M2. Can anyone help?

M2 having different compatibility than M1 sounds very strange to me. I would first make sure that the USB-C ports on the Mac work fine with other devices and then I would try one of the following hubs regardless what Apple tech support says:

I'd get one with an HDMI port, ugreen products are value for money
