MacBook Pro 13" no audio with HDMI out

I am new to MAC. Anyway I purchased the new MacBook Pro 13" with Retina display, very happy with it. I connected it to my 50" Plasma screen to watch a movie but I get no audio on the TV but the sound is coming from the Notebook.

Is there a way to do it?

Open System Preferences -> Sound -> Output -> Make sure HDMI is selected and enabled. I don't have a Retina 13" but that's pretty similar to what I have to do when I use MDP to HDMI.
