hi, i'm going to university next year, and i am looking for a laptop, preferably a macbook pro. i want to use logic, and was wondering, would i need the quad core 15 inch, or would the baseline 13inch be able to handle it? (i mostly use word, itunes, web browsing, etc, the only intensive application would be logic.) thanks, please comment! :)

The 13" will handle it, but with some difficulty I imagine. I have a 13" baseline, and it runs Garageband just fine, but it has a few hangups occasionally when processing a lot of audio events in real time. I imagine Logic would use just a bit more umph to get the job done, so it would definitely be taxing on the system.

i think an ram upgrade to 8Gb should do the trick, because it does have a 2.3GHz i5 in it..
