Hello!
I currently have an early 2011 MacBook Pro 15" 2.2. Still pretty powerful and I must confess lumbered with 4GB and HDD. I plan on upgrading both of those over next couple of months. As it's still (at least feels!) pretty powerful, considering a complementary 13" Retina.
I do a lot more travelling now than I used to, which is why I'm interested in the 13". Happily coincides with a new salary sacrifice thing at work too, which ends up being a reasonable discount on the £1499 cost due to tax efficiencies, so feels like an easy decision! But it never is, is it?
How does it run in a scaled resolution? The usable space by default is equivalent to 1280x800 isn't it? That's OK, but just might irritate me a little and I'd like to run it so I can get more screen space. Does the 13" work well in different resolutions? I saw someone post on here saying they experience UI lag (albeit slight?) in non-best for Retina resolutions. Is that a widespread thing?
Ta.
