I am going to be receiving a MacBook Pro 13". It will either be a 2016, 2017, or 2018 model so it should have 4 Thunderbolt 3 ports.

With the 13" MacBook Pro only supporting up to 2 External Monitors natively, does anyone have any experience with the Plugable USB 3.0 to VGA/DVI / HDMI Video Graphics Adapter?

I am curious to if a device such as that would be able to exceed the 2 external monitor limit and let me add a third.
If so, does anyone know if it is stable or if there are huge performance hits when using this?

You should be able to do it but even with just native external displays there is a significant power draw that lead to increased fan speed and reduced sustained performance. If you add yet another USB display adapter, which draws even more power and CPU overhead, you'll barely have anything left to do whatever it is you intended to do with the computer.
