Macbook Pro 13 won't boot fully, hardware test doesn't complete

So, nothing out of the ordinary but newish (last dec) MBP 13 won't fully boot.

get the bong
get the white screen
get the apple
get spinning wheel below apple, but then nothing

I've reset PRAM and SMU

Tried to run hardware test from boot cd, but it just stops running at about 95%, regardless of the quick pass or extended pass, just doesn't seem to complete.

Any thoughts on what to try, do?
