Apologies if this is being discussed - thread title search in this forum only did not turn up any hits.

I have a 14" MacBook Pro (8C/14G) with the 67 watt Apple adapter. I purchased a NekTeck 100 watt GaN adapter and when I plug in the MagSafe cable, it does not light up and the MBP does not show it is charging. When I use the 67w Apple adapter or my 97w Apple adapter from my 15" MBP it works. The NekTeck does charge the MBP via the USB/TB port with a TB cable.

Someone mentioned they are seeing the same with an Autek 100w GaN charger (works via USB/TB, but not MagSafe) so wondering if others using non-Apple chargers are seeing the same?

I just tested it with the Anker 65w GAN and the MagSafe light turns on and charging works.

Thank you.

Just tried my Aukey 65W I carry with me for travel to charge my iPad, Phone and Watch and that worked.

So must be something specific to the NekTeck with the Magsafe cable. Well, back to Amazon it goes! :)

I'm having the same issue with an Aukey Omnia 100w charger (single USB-B). Works fine with a USB-C cable, but not with the MagSafe cable.

A RAVPower RP-PC105 61W GaN charger (see below URL for the product details) with a MagSafe 3 cable can charge my 16-inch MacBook Pro M1 Pro (A2485) very well. The 'System Information' of A2485 also shows that a 61W charger's hooked up.
