Does anyone know if the Macbook Pro 14" Max is it heavier vs the Pro? I know this is the case with the 16" but not sure about the 14"

It probably is, but not anything you'd notice. Apple's tech specs say "Weight varies by configuration". And the M1 Max chip is ever so slightly larger than the M1 Pro.

As the OP stated, Apple actually distinguishes the weight difference for the 16", but not the 14".

The chip itself must only weigh a gram or two more, not the 50 grams or so as posted. It's somewhat implied by this that the thermal management might be a bit more beefy on the 16", and consequently the reason why there is a high boost mode (but none on the 14").

That actually makes a lot of sense. Thanks
