I just bought a 4k monitor to hook up to my Macbook Pro 15" the $1999 one one Apple's website right now.
It's an LG 27UD68 and I'm hooking it up via HDMI.
It looks beautiful but the cursor has a small amount of latency to it and also the cursor movement is pretty choppy. How do I fix this? Is my Macbook Pro not capable of pushing 4k resolution?
I think it has something to do with 30hz vs 60hz. Right in the monitor manual it says 60Hz is only available with a display port. It even says "For Mac Products, please use DP to DP cable that is included in the package. I'm new to the Mac world and never have touched a Display port cable. And the display port cable they provided doesn't look like it can fit anywhere into my Macbook, so do I need an adapter or something?
Mini Displayport to Display port? Like this? https://www.amazon.com/Monoprice-32AWG-Mini-DisplayPort-Cable/dp/B0034X6SCY
