Macbook Pro 15"- 2.4ghz- kinda dead

Newbie here- have my gf's macbook pro 15- early 2007 2.4-

will not power on-no beeps-no noice-nada- battery will not show any lights- power cord turns green-- tried another battery but no luck- any other ideas? tried the take out battery-unplug-hold power button 5 secs-- didnt work

If it won't turn on with the AC adapter plugged in, and after the SMC reset you did, its time to bring it in to an Apple service provider or a retail store. Hope there are no big dents or dings in the casing that could send the wrong message to the Mac Genius and potentially void the warranty, if its still covered.
