Am in the process of buying a new 15" MacBook Pro and am looking for some info on whether or not its worth upgrading the processor to 2.6Ghz (from the 2.3Ghz model).

I did a search but got no clear info. I mainly work with Aperture and Photoshop (on massive Nikon D800 RAW files). I know the GPU will take a lot of the load but I'm not sure how much difference the 0.3Ghz will make to my particular workflow.

Any advice would be appreciated.

if i assume you are going to max out RAM I would say its a nice but unnecessary upgrade.

Only do it if you have the dollars to spare. Which would probable be better served on Applecare.

Thanks for the feedback. Think I'll go for the 2.6Ghz processor.
