Hi there,

I am trying to connect my macbook pro 2010 to HP 30" ZR30W (2560x1600) via the use of a converter mini-dp (male) to dp (female) and a dp cable. The ZR30W is setup with 2560x1600 as my main monitor and the screen of my 15" (1680x1050) as the extra screen.

The setup seems to be working fine except for random white streaks (dotted lines that appear and disappear all over the screen).

Does anybody experience such an issue? The converter is of the Atlona brand (purchased at Microcenter).

It seems a better solution than the Apple's dual dvi expensive box that also require the usage of an extra USB.

I would appreciate any feedback,
Thanks

Eric

Instead of the complication of a "converter" and cable, why not try a mini displayport to displayport cable. There's no real conversion required. It's just a matter of physical connector sizes with the same signals.
