I have a broken 2012 15" Macbook pro screen. I tried using an hdmi cable connected to the macbook pro to a monitor but when i switched it to HDMI, the monitor is currently hooked up to my desktop pc via VGA since it doesn't have hdmi (BOC), anyway when i switch the monitor to HDMI it just says no hdmi signal found after the screen being black after a few second. I tried pressing command f1 on the mac while the monitor is switched to hdmi but nothing happened.
