So Calif
Starting too see a scrambled video on my work 15" 2015 MBP connected to a 24" Apple Cinema display.
Only the laptop's display screen goes scrambled while the Cinema display is perfect.

Swiping back to the 15" screen, the display starts working fine.
Happens at least once a day...

Is this a known sign of an impending video graphics failure ???

The GPU is driving both the internal and external display so that should be OK. It looks like its the drive circuits for the internal display or the cable to the display that is faulty.

I guess either you take it to Apple for repairs or you use it in clamshell mode with only an external diaplay.
