My Macbook Pro is crashing at least once per week, had already reinstall it from scratch, but at least once per week, after going to sleep, it crushes.

I think it fails to sleep, since when I return and try to wake it up, it's running hot, and screen is black but touchbar is lit and unresponsive.

I use it almost all the time with external mouse/keyboard and external monitor.

Where can I see the crash log?
Don't know what to do.

Thanks in advance!

Do you have FileVault on? I got the same laptop and since disabling FileVault, no problems, no crashes at all. It used to be stuck on a black screen (lowest brightness) and the touch bar wouldn't light up since I was stuck before the login screen. I use my laptop in clamshell mode with external keyboard and mouse.

I'd say try disabling FileVault if you have it activated.

Indeed FileVault is on, will try disabling it, thanks!

Indeed it was FileVault, since I disabled it, my Macbook runs more than 15 days without a problem.

Thanks!

that's not a solution !
FileVault is supposed to stay on.

If it crashes even with a fresh macOS installation , it could be defective.

It is not a solution, but it's the only way for my mbp not to kernel panic every 2 days

Make sure all of your apps are up to date. DropBox was problematic for me until it was updated for Mojave.
