So I recently had my Macbook Pro 15" (2018) serviced due to a swollen battery. I was out of warranty, but they replaced it for free. Used the mail-in method and it was pretty seamless. From sending it out to receiving, took about 3 business. So props to Apple here.
When I got it back, I noticed my screen hinge was now making a "crinkling" sound upon moving. It wasn't the "pop" that I read in other forums, and read saying of something similar but without a resolve. I took it into the Apple Store (managed to get a genius appointment) in hopes it was just a loose bolt or cable getting caught. They couldn't fix it then and there, so given that if I left it at the store, they quoted me 2-4 weeks, I mailed it in again. This again went seamless, where it took 3 business days from mailing it out and getting it back.
Everything is working great, but I did notice that the "flex cable" (think that's what it is called) is somewhat a different shade of the actual hinge. It's only noticeable in more direct light, but it is something I notice, and don't believe my previous one was like that. Just curious if a lot of people's looks the same and there is just a variance in that color matching (see attached image). Know this is such a minor thing, but after having the two service repairs, just want it to be as I had bought it.
