I currently have a 15 inch Early 2011 Macbook Pro, A1286.

I cracked the screen when my charger fell on it but only resulted in a cosmetic issue.

I went to an Apple Authorized Retailer and they wanted me to pay $500 for the new LCD display. I opted to go on ebay and buy from this company. Apple part 661-5847.

They listed it for $229, and I talked to a representative about why it was so cheap and he mentioned parts on these computers had been water damaged but they were functional and likely this part was not damaged itself.

I just got the display today, and using ifixit and tools, replaced the display. I turned on the macbook and the display is so faint, I have to use a flashlight to see it. Everything else is functional. It appears the backlight is not functioning. The question is since I have a normal, UNDAMAGED, logic board, did I short a fuse or is the LVDS the culprit? Where can I get this fixed without having to get the whole Logic Board, which is functioning and never been damaged? Please help, I am extremely frustrated.
