Macbook Pro 15" AMD 6750 Video skips on battery!

Macbook Pro 15" AMD 6750 skips HD video while on battery power, however when connected to adapter it runs smoothly.
Plus I've noticed videos from external hard drive don't have any jerk, but it usually does when played from HD??? (or is it just me, confused)

I just bought my first Macbook Pro, should I be concerned???
