Hi, i am having a problem on my mac book pro 15" mid 2010 (i5 2.4Ghz 8gb ram , 500gb HD), when i am opening Photo Booth the program starts and open my cam , after 2-3 seconds my mac boots !
Also when i am trying to set the date and time the mac boots too.
so i replaced my Hard drive to a brand new one , install fresh new OS X Yosemite and i still have the same problem !!
Do you know what's wrong ??
I know its a hardware problem.....i hope not.

Run the apple hardware test, to see if it is a hardware issue, conversely make an apportionment to have apple look at it.

So do you incur a kernel panic or does it completely reboot without your intervention?

Bummers, perhaps your best bet then is to have apple look at it :(

When it reboots do you get an error message. Mine would do the same thing and it was because of a GPU Kernel Panic. Turns out the video card failed and Apple is now in the process of replacing the whole logic board.

Bring it to Apple.
