Hi guys,
Just bought a macbook pro 15" with High res (high end model), sent it to family and would like to know if there is a way to tell if i got the right model without having someone open and turn it on.
does it say it is a cto model on the box ? if so, where ?

It doesn't say CTO anywhere on it. I'd have to check my own box from 3 years ago but I seem to recall a big white sticker with the specs slapped on one side of it.

Edit: Yep, bottom of the box, white sticker that says:

MBPRO 15/2.4GHZ/2x1G/200/SD

200 if for the original 200Gb HD that was the only 7200rpm option back then.
