Bit of a strange problem here and I'm out of ideas.
I can't seem to get a signal via the DVI port when connecting to an external display. The monitor is black, 'Detect Displays' does nothing visible.
However, when I use the included DVI-VGA adapter I get an image, and when I connect a DVI-HDMI adapter to the notebook and then use an HDMI cable to the display things work correctly.
I've tried multiple DVI cables and multiple monitors. If the analog signal quality weren't so poor I'd just use that. The other strange thing is that the same behavior is exhibited in Vista (Boot Camp). This indicates a hardware problem to me, but I'm still confused as to why HDMI would work and DVI would not...
Anyone heard of this before?
