Hello all,

My new mbp fell from 50cm on his right corner (where the IR and status led) and now has a dent on it and the bottom case is like a little bit open on the side.
Does anyone know how to fix this ? via Apple it would cost me more than 400euro.

Here are some pictures of it:

You can resize and crop images via Preview (built into Mac OS X), as the images you provided are large and big in file size.

You might have luck with eBay or iFixIt.

I'm not sure if ordering a new bottom plate will solve the issue.
If the side corner also moved a bit then the new plate won't close also like it normally does.

I can't tell how much damage the top plate has. But from the pictures, it seems that only the bottom one was affected (seems like it's been hit and pulled out in picture #2).

Only you can assess whether it needs both plates or just the lower one. (Show us close ups/macro pictures instead of the whole laptop). ;)
