Hi,

I bought a macbook online and it sucks and I don't know how bad the damage is/ the root of the cause/ how to go about fixing it. No time to go to the apple store.

Runs snow leopard
2.16 Ghz intel core 2 duo processor
120 gb hard drive
2 GB of ram memory (upgraded)

If it starts up fine, it'll work for a few good hours. But usually it starts up with the apple logo distorted and the screen all messed up, which eventually after a few minutes (if it lasts that long) just freezes and I have to restart it. Which doesn't usually help. It tends to work better when i haven't used it for a couple of days

maybe the graphics card is overheating? although i'm not sure apple has cards for these and i read somewhere it's integrated into the motherboard and the whole thing would have to be replaced.

I don't know.
Can anyone help (in layman's terms)?

I'm trying to sell it on craigslist cuz it's annoying lol.
here's a pic of it:

I had a 2008 MBP that did the same thing. But that has a NVIDIA graphics chipset and not ATI.
