Where is the cheapest :apple: Macbook Pro 15" LCD replacement (preferably under $300) in the US?
Thanks!

Have you ever tried doing it yourself?

Do you have the Unibody? I have an older model and managed to take care of it myself for less than $200.

If you're talking about *just* the LCD (and not the LCD within the display unit) - ScreenTek has some pretty solid instructions on how to do the replacement yourself. I followed them and though removing some of the screws can be tricky (it certainly helps to have an extra set of hands at some point, or probably some better screwdrivers) it is very doable (and if you're more tech oriented than me, it shouldn't take too long).

I order my LCD from MacRecycling.com, and paid $179.99 for a brand new screen for mine (however, I should note that I can no longer adjust the brightness, but the Genius bar told me it seems as though the LCD itself is suspect - and I switched from matte to glossy). There are a lot of other retailers or ebayers that sell screens for around $200 or less.
