Hi,

I just purchased a new macbook pro 15 retina. According to the specs, on their website it shows. Does this mean I have two video cards? Is it similar to the old 17inch model where I can switch between two video cards to save power?

Intel HD Graphics 4000
NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M with 1GB of GDDR5 memory

Yes, it has two video cards (one integrated into the CPU, one dedicated and having its own chip and memory), but the OS does the switching. You can use gfxCardStatus for manual switching.
