I just recently got a Macbook Pro, and im curious if the following is normal and if it's maybe the Superdrive's spindle or something. Basically, when I go to lift up my computer, I can hear a rattling sound coming from the right side. It sounds like it could be the Superdrive just rattling. My older white Macbook didn't do it and im wondering if it's a normal thing for these newer models.

EDIT: I would also like to add that it only does this when the computer is turned ON

Most likely the sudden motion sensor is parking the hard drive head.

Nope - lifting it quickly, your Mac will just assume you dropped it and parks the hard drive head to prevent you loosing any data.

You can disable it if the clicking is annoying though.
