I love my Macbook Pro 15 inch retina machine .. I've had it for almost three years now and it's snappy and perfect as the first day I got it ..

I'm wondering if Apple will update/refresh the 15" Pro line .. like they did with the 13" Pro ..

apart from the trackpad .. what other changes do you think the new updated machine will have? ..

Yes they will refresh it. When they have someting to upgrade to. Intel hasn't released new processors in a bit.

Apart from the trackpad, and a newer processor, I don't see them changing much.

or perhaps an update on specs .. more ram/ssd drive?

Apple won't just bump the RAM and/or SSD and call it a new model. They have to wait for CPU availability from Intel.

The 15" already has 16GB of ram, I can't see them bumping that up, just for the sake of calling it a new release

You'll most likely see a refresh (i.e. latest processors and addition of Force Touch to the touchpad) at WWDC.
