Anyone have a similiar problem with a buzzing sounds near the speaker or maybe coming from under the keyboard...i just noticed it yesterday..what have you done to solve the problem, or what should i do...contact applecare? bring it into the store?

Thanks

Two known issues with buzz/whine on the MBP is know (as far as I know)

"The Whine": high pitched sound which when turning on Photo Booth should disappear. If you have the whine a Logic Board replacement will remove the sound.

"The Buzz": sound emitting from a bad screen inverter. Changing the screen brightness should alter the volume/sound of the buzz. A new inverter should remove the buzz.

Any of the above sound familiar?

My MBP has the same problem. I was thinking of sending it in to fix, but I can't spare the time until around xmas, as I use the laptop for work.

I am having a similar problem. Had it on my bed when it sounded like something on the fan snapped. Any ideas on how to fix it?

I know this is an old post.....

Any solutions yet? I have a brand new MacBook Pro, and I am getting a buzz on the right side of it. It happened out of the blue. What did you do?

I think it is the remote bomb. A new anti-theft remotely activated feature Apple added, Don't worry it is completely safe

Thanks. It's weird cause I got a 17in pro.

The buzzing only comes through with low frequency sounds it seems.

I just balance my speakers to the left when I'm doing something that it is happening on.

Let me know if Apple does anything for ya. Thanks.
