Hey Guys,

I always had a fan problem with my old MacBook 2015 '15 but didn't care at all. I upgraded my MacBook 1 week ago to '16 and I suppose I won't see fan noise. But I was wrong. I know you all have an issue with an external display so I refund my external display.

But right now, I had a meeting with my colleague, they all use MacBook pro as well. Only my MacBook pro fan working. We have the same situation. He is using Intel Iris Graphic Card.

Do you think Macbook Pro '16 graphic card has an issue? Should I do something?

My first recommendation is to get a temp app to measure the temperature of the components. Most likely your fans are running simply because the temps are at a threshold that requires it. If you're on the discrete GPU, you will incur more heat then a laptop that is running the integrated GPU. There's an app to switch back and forth, perhaps you can look into that.

Does your college use a 16" or a 13"? You need to compare apples to apples

I'm not sure why you were under the impression you won't incur fan noise, its something that is unavoidable in these modern thin laptops that are running with discrete gpus and 6 to 8 cores. Apple has done a great job at reducing the need for fans, but you won't ever get away from it.
