Hello. I’m considering getting a MacBook Pro 16” soon, and I’m wondering how many external monitors I could link up to it?
I would mainly be running different websites/webpages on each monitor. Nothing like video gaming or video editing etc.
Would the base 16” be suitable for this or would I be better to upgrade the RAM and/or Graphics card?
Thanks

How many monitors and whether or not you need to upgrade the graphics depends on the resolution and refresh rate of the monitors you want to attach. You need to provide more information.

Well maybe 4 maximum if that was easy to do. Refresh rate & resolution would just be normal/standard for these days i suppose.
Or even just 2 monitors i suppose lol.
Any number greater than 1 really...

What's normal?
4k? FHD? QHD?

I'm not trying to be difficult, but there's so many resolution options out there now a days, it can be down right confusing :)

Depends. The current 16" is able to drive two of the New Mac Pro XDR monitors. So probably four 1920x1080 monitors

What dongle would you need to connect 4 4K?

Depends on the monitor... some of them go direct to USB-C and you wouldn't need any adapters.

Ideally in this case you'd want monitors that support daisy-chaining so you'd only need to use 1 TB3 port on each side of the MBP.

All of the TB3 docks I've seen allow you to bring in up to two 4K@60hz as well.
