Has anyone tried jamming a 16" MBP 2021 inside the V2 Peak Design Everyday Messenger? It's spec'd to only fit a 13" laptop but sometimes there's an allowance for that, I'm hoping this one has. Thanks in advance!

Unless the spec is for a 13" w/ a sleeve, I'd be surprised that any bag would accommodate the newer 16".

FWIW, I have an old Incase bag designed for the original unibody 13" (used it for a 2016 13" and it had a ton of room) and it just barely fits the 14".

Did you mean the 2.0 Bag? The V2 is available in a 15" size that will definitely fit a 16". I have that V2 bag and I'm able to stuff a 2010 Unibody 15" in there.

I have a V1 bag and it fits fine, but it's the larger one (Everyday Messenger 15)

Yes if it's the 15" version. It may be tight but it's doable. But you can also forget about stuffing an extra iPad.

That part's unclear. It sounds like the OP is talking about the latest version and there is only a 13" version if that's the case. Peak no longer makes a 15" model.

Yeah, if it's the 13" version, then... no way in hell. The 16" barely fit into the 15" version as is. I really had to try and shove it in.

Ultimately, I returned the 16" and went with 14". The 14" is much easier to deal with in terms of footprint.

Straight from the Peak Design Website:

MAX LAPTOP CARRY

22.9cm x 2.5cm x 33cm (9" x 1" x 13")
Holds 13” Macbook Pro

Straight from Apples Website:

Height 0.66 inch (1.68 cm)

Width: 14.01 inches (35.57 cm)

Depth: 9.77 inches (24.81 cm)

The 16" MBP is 1" too wide and .75" too deep to fit in the latest Peak Design messenger bag. The bag is geared for the 13" MacBooks.

A little late but I tried. The results are that the 16 inch MBP can fit in the laptop compartment (very tight but the width can accommodate the device), though the height of the 16 inch MBP sticks out a by 1 1/2 inches. The bag flap can still close but it's not ideal as the portion of the device that sticks out is slightly exposed. Hence, if I want to use the messenger V2 with no exposure, I have to place my MPB in a sleeve then put it in the main compartment.

EDIT: I wish Peak Design made a 15/16 V2 Messenger bag like the last generation V2 messengers
