My boss recently got a new Macbook Pro 16" - and there is a bit of an issue.
He also bought a large curved external display (HP ENVY 34") he is connecting with a dongle (HDMI/USB-C). The display shows but it doesn't have a great resolution. The text and images seem sort of blurry and low-rez. As if they have been upscaled poorly.
The display is 60hz and works best at 3440x1440, but the maximum showing for the display in the macbook config is 1920x1200 for the external display.
Tried googling around but I'm at the end of my rope here. I'm not a macbook aficionado - all our other machines are ancient desktops running various versions of windows. Anyone got any hints or pointers as to how to fix it?
