I have a 16" Macbook Pro (8 Core) and its connected via USB C to a Twelve South StayGo USB HUB. This has been the case since December 1st 2019.
I am aware that it doesn't pass 96W through, and can see that when using Zwift, for example, the battery gentle depletes. This doesn't worry me since its a second machine, and I don't do work all day on it, so the battery is generally always sat at 100%.
The issue is that randomly (3 times in ~5 weeks) the HUB has stopped providing power to the macbook, and at least once the USB A (So I would guess all of the HUB) was also 'disconnected'. The fix was to take the apple power out of the hub, into the macbook directly, wait for the charging sound, then plug back into the HUB and it is working again. I have contacted Twelve South who stated that they can see this is an issue (but not just with them), and that was it.
Has anyone suffered from a similar issue?
Any thoughts on what I can do to debug what has happened (I believe there are logs, but I am unsure of what to look for)?
