Recently bought the Dell U2518D (2560 X 1440 with 117ppi) and connected it to my Macbook Pro 16inch via HDMI 1.4 and the Satechi HDMI adapter. It also supports miniDP and DP but i dont have yet the adapter.
Mac recognizes it propably as TV and gives YCbCr colour space. Tried a script solution to force RGB and worked. But still not the best text resolution especially in small letters and menus. Tried many other solutions i found except the DP cable, but no results. Changing resolutions with SwitchResX only helped a little bit (and only with 16:10 aspect ratio) but it leaves black spaces at left and right.
I must also tell about the huge bleed.
Seems like its not the perfect monitor for macbook 16". am i doing something wrong? Any recommendations ?
