I know this is probably a stupid post, but I figure the people here would know better than I would.

I am trying to sell my old macbook pro 17" 1gen 2.16ghz intel core duo. It is still under warranty and in perfect condition, etc. Someone offered me $1000 for it. I feel like I can get more. Can I? Or should I take it?

Thanks for your help.

One thing to consider when selling it on Ebay is the listing fee, Paypal fees, and shipping costs which can run over $100 total. And the hassel of getting money and possibly getting ripped off. Selling to a person can save you a lot of fees and just be easier.

That being said, I just sold my Gen A 13" MacBook with Combo Drive for $700 total, netting about $625 after the fees and shipping last week. Now I'm just waiting for the new MacBook to get released.

Thanks for all of the help! I agree, not a big fan of ebay, but I wasnt sure where else to sell it. I think I'll probably take it.

Thanks again.
