Hey everyone. I'm having some hardware issue with my display. When I turn the computer on, the bottom quarter of the screen becomes bars of a rainbow of colors while the top 3/4 remains just fine. I can fix this only if I push the left side of the display a little past where it should be (and hold it there). Do you think this is a problem with the display cable or the display itself? I'm planning to just buy the part and fix it myself.

same thing happened to me, but with the whole screen. Apple store told me it was probably the cable, repair place told me it was the monitor. I might just buy the cable myself and see if it fixes it. Did you determine what the problem was?
