My 17-inch MBP will not start up. No chime, no fans- NOTHING.

  • The battery's dead.
  • It won't charge.
  • Nothing happens when power button is pressed.
  • Reset SMC.
  • Tried 3 power adapters
Only signs of life is that the green magsafe light on the power chord comes on when connected. What does this green light indicate and is here any known recalls for this model?

Green indicates that either the battery is fully charged or that there is no battery =\

Unplug it and plug it back in, do the lights on the left side (lined up with the ports) light once you plug it in?

It's not a unibody.
