First off I want to say thank you to all the people who posted on my other thread which (and with my mother's intervention) pushed me to the macbook pro 17"!
I'm hoping i can post some prices but i'll take the chance.
$2200 for a glossy macbook pro 17" (Which I don't want cuz it's glossy)
vs.
$2500 for an antiglare Macbook pro 17"(Which I prefer, reason is clear,or ANTI-clear...get it? aww whatever).
I mean it's a whole $300 off.I can get either once,i just want to know what y'all think.
Btw.Even if i go with the cheaper once,i'm not getting any upgrades like SSD/RAM so basically it's either i spend or save $300.
Thanks for the advice,WILL BE DOING ANOTHER POLL!

Why does the AG MBP cost 300 $ more, when Apple offers the AG option for only 50 USD?

I had the 15" glossy MBP and after it was stolen, I got the 17" AG MBP, as it was the only AG option back then in 2009. I don't regret it.

You're asking if you should go with either an Anti-Glare display which you stated that you prefer, or a Glossy display that you clearly detest and stated that you don't want?

I'm not exactly the sharpest individual, but I am thinking Anti-Glare in this case.

AG. It's not even debatable for me.

Every time I pick up my iPad I have to sit/tilt/angle to avoid the glare, and seeing my own scary reflection. I never even think about the reflection issue with the MBP.

Antiglare - unless you like looking at reflections instead of your browser, your work, etc.

Aside: Maybe Apple's pricing Antiglare wrong; instead of a $50 configuration option it should be $250 or $500, just so people get an idea of its true value. Or maybe if you don't order Antiglare your computer says "MacBook" instead of "MacBook Pro".

AHA yes I like this, so they get more reflections and a diminished computer!
