I've read a few posts regarding this problem but nothing recently, so thought I'd put it out there for some feedback. My macbook pro is approx 4 years old. Two weeks ago the click on the trackpad stopped working, cant even press it down. Take the battery and it does. Installed a magic mouse last night moves around the screen fine, go to click and nothing happens. Anyone come across this problem before, and how did you resolve it?

I have never had this happen to me, But I think that you should go to the Genius Bar just to be on the Safe Side:

Thanks. I do have an appointment with Genius Bar on Saturday. I have now taken the battery out and it's plugged in, and works perfectly. I have found some random posts of other mac users (with 15 inch mac pro) removing the battery and adjusting a screw at the back of trackpad, but no such luck with the 17 inch.

Thanks for being the only one to reply, appreciate it.
