MacBook Pro 17" Multibody October 2008 good deal?

I have found a brand new unit of the MacBook Pro 17" released on october 2008 (4Gb/320Gb/512Mb/Led). I'm very interested because the price is 600 euros cheaper than the new model, and I get firewire 400, regular DVI connector, removable battery and matte display. But are there known issues affecting this rare bird or some disadvantage that I had to know? Thanks in advance.

I don't think the 17" was effected by the defective 8600 units. I may be wrong though but I'm pretty sure most the people who were effected had 2.2 15" MBPs.

I'd say get it if you want it.

Then this one is not affected. The model I'm speaking was released in october '08 and discontinued in january '09.
