Heyas people... again, another strange problem with my MBP.

Basically, I had everything plugged onto my 'lap'top. power, mouse etc.

I was about to leave work earlier today, and I closed the lid. The moment after I closed the lid, it made this MAD strange ass noise, it's like jet engine, with a bit of high pitchness.. that ran for a few seconds. 10 or so, it then dissapeared. It was the fan probably. But ayway, that freaked me out. my manager was a few feet away could hear it as well! I then opened it again, and it makes that weird noise again!!! it ran for about the same time as well. I closed it back though.. and it hasn't make the noise yet. Anyway, I checked the temperature when it ran that hot, and it was running at around 60'C

What was that noise? :/

Probably the fan, as you said, but I'm not sure why it came on so hard and fast. What exactly were you doing with the machine right before you closed the lid?

sudden motion sensor... not sure whether or not it makes noise though, my PB isn't equipped with it, but if you moved your laptop while closing the lid or unplugging it, the SMS could have kicked in
