I am debating whether I should buy this macbook pro 17"

MacBook Pro Laptop in prisitine condition, no scratches, original box, paperwork and restore discs.

2.16ghz Core 2 Duo Processor
2GB PC5300 Memory Ram
120GB Hard Drive
CD/DVD Burner
Dedicated X1600 256mb Graphics Card
Bluetooth
Wireless ABG
WebCam
Mac OS X 10.4.10 (Latest)


He wants $1600 for it. Is that a good deal?

It's fair I'd say. It isn't a Core 2 Duo though, the 17" was never a 2.16 C2D. I'd recommend it, it's worth it I believe.

Ah, I didn't know it was a Core Duo. The seller told me it was a Core 2 Duo. I am definitely not going to buy it then.

I wouldn't totally be afraid of the Core Duo model MacBook Pro. It's true that many people reported problems with them, but, in my case, my MacBook Pro has been PERFECT since day 1. No issues where I've needed to go back to the Apple store at all..
