Macbook Pro 2.4 external display resolution

Hi, I have had a MBP since November 2007 and have just got a Samsung 226MW display. I can't get the MBP to display anything higher than 1440 x 900 on the Samsung. Native resolution is 1680 x 1050. The older conrol panels used to say "show all resolutions" but I can't find it in 10.5.

Any suggestions?
