Okay, so I am a total noob when it comes to Mac.

I am in the market for a new Mac and my budget is roughly $1500...

and

are the two that I have seem to have narrowed it down. Both have similar specs but the main difference is the GFX card.

I will be using the computer for some gaming (mainly Counter-Strike: Source), photo editing and some video editing. I plan on boosting both up to 4GB of ram.

Which would better suit my needs?

do you need portability or not? check the refurbs. you may be able to pick up a 24" imac for around your budget.

Portability is not too big of a deal to me, as my desk is already in my main living area. But it's always a nice bonus. I have a laptop now (dell PC) and its battery time is now down to 20 minutes off charger.

And I will be purchasing the comp from Best Buy for the financing option of 18 months.

Thanks for the quick response though

What do you mean workhorse?

Would you think the MBP or iMac would be better at CS: Source?

And how are the screens compared to each other?
